His Royal Highness, Yohanna Kukah, younger brother to Bishop Hassan Kukah has been released.
The paramount ruler of Ikulu Kingdom was released after spending nine days in the camp of the kidnappers.
A close member of the family told the News Agency of Nigeria that the traditional ruler returned home Thursday evening unharmed.
The source said the traditional Council was yet to issue any formal statement on the issue.
“Most importantly, our Chief has returned hale and hearty and we thank God for that”, the source said.
Recall that the traditional ruler was abducted at gunpoint alongside one of his guards at his private residence in Anchuna, a village in southern Kaduna, on Tuesday.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Mukhtar Aliyu, also confirmed the release.
