Leader of the Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka has issued a one-week ultimatum to the Federal Government for the release of all pro-Biafra detainees from various prison formations across the country.
Onwuka, who made the demand, Monday, in a statement obtained by DAILY POST, said all the affected persons must be freed within one week to enable them participate in his Biafra restoration rally on August 20.
He equally warned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to desist from harassing the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, as well as the governors of Benue and Akwa Ibom States, Samuel Ortom and Udom Emmanuel, respectively.
The self-acclaimed Zionists, who said there was no going back on his planned Biafra inauguration rally, told the FG “that it should without further delay release all pro-Biafra agitators, irrespective of the group such persons belong, be it MASSOB, IPOB, BNG, among others. They must all be set free to join us in what we are doing. This should be complied with before August 20.
“In addition, the government of Buhari, through the EFCC is going beyond its bounds; the EFCC has no right no freeze elected democratic state government’s bank accounts. How do you expect that government to run the affairs of the State?
“We caution over the illegality against the Benue and Akwa Ibom State Governments simply because they are Biafrans and hold different political interest. The EFCC should let go of their accounts and runnings of government.
“We are also aware that they want to freeze the account of Rivers Government because of Wike; that must not happen. We are watching.”
“Since the last three weeks, the Deputy Senate President has been facing unjust persecution by the EFCC, simply because he is a Biafran. He is now being threatened to resign from his position. This is a humiliation and a challenge to us.
“Bukola Saraki, when he was governor, he embezzled so much money but the EFCC is not after him. No one has asked question and he is a free man, while Ekweremadu who has not held an executive position is being harassed. This is why we must stand with Biafra.
“We are also keenly watching how the FG will handle the issue of Lawal Daura, the sacked DG of the DSS, who is said to have kept N21b cash in his house, plus arms and ammunition, voters’ cards, what is the EFCC waiting for? What is the presidency saying about it? No one has said anything about it.
“This unnecessary persecution, harassment and intimidation of our people under the guise of fighting corruption must end.
“The injustices are just too much; we must come out and fight it, they will end on August 20, diplomatically.”
He called on all students to come out and support his movement as “they have no hope in Nigeria; there future cannot in any way be guaranteed in Nigeria. We know the role the students played in 1967 when Ojukwu declared Biafra in Nsukka. Biafra was borne because of the zeal and encouragement the students and the youths gave to the lake Ikemba Odumegwu Ojukwu; so, all of them should repeat what same feat in August 20, 2018.
“We want to end a situation where our land has been turned to a slaughter house under the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government through herdsmen militia and the rest of them.”
“It has been very awkward that our Church leaders have not been forward in supporting Biafra agenda, even in the face of killing Christians and burning down places of worship.
“In South-Africa, Bishop Desmond Tutu and several other church leaders were in the forefront with ANC and that is how Apartheid came to an end. Are we going to wait until we are islamized? So, the churches should come out and support what we are doing.
“The ordinary man on the street, we are all affected, we are in the same boat, without Biafra, there is no hope for us; that is why we are making this appeal.
“MASSOB, IPOB, Avengers, Ohanaeze, the Middle-Belt, the South-South, all of them should come out, there is no discrimination. Biafra is for all of us. We are not asking anyone to come out with weapon; we don’t need such. All we need is United States and Israel’s support, which we have now,” he boasted.
