Head of the legal team of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has on Sunday described an ex- Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, as a drowning man.
He also said the former governor is desperately in search of relevance from the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government.
According to Ejiofor, Kalu is seeking relief from prosecution on corruption charges.
Reacting to Kalu’s claims that Kanu fled Nigeria to the United Kingdom through Malaysia and was not arrested by the military, Ejiofor told Punch that the former governor has turned himself to the spokesperson for the Federal Government and the military as part his strategy to get freed from his ongoing trial on corruption charges.
Ejiofor stated, “Orji Uzor Kalu is a drowning man , looking for where to perch.”
