Biafra: IPOB releases government structure

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday, released the leadership structure that will be operated when Biafra is actualised.

According to the organogram, the proposed Biafra state would be headed by a Prime Minister and cabinet, while District Assembly, Administrator and Council would be under it.

The group disclosed that the Parliament would be headed by the Prime Minister (Executive) and Directorate of States.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB said the constitution of Biafra’s National Legislature comprises of Anang, Efik, Idoma/Igede, Ala-Igbo, Isoko, Izon, Urhobo, Anioma-Igbo, Ibibio, Igala, Ikwere-Igbo, Itesekiri and Ogoni.

Under the proposed Baifra judiciary system, the organogram identified Constitutional Court to be operated as, Apex court, Appellate court, Court of Justice, High Court as well as Common Law court, Magistrate court.

Powerful explained that the release of the organogram was to inform people of the South-East and the world how the government of Biafra will be operated when actualised.

“This is to inform the people that the government will never cheat anybody in the government of Biafra.

“The organogram stipulates the directorates, commissions and Agencies in the new government and this will be part of constitution of the Biafra government; more are coming,” Powerful said.
