Biafra: IPOB condemns secret trial of Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, has condemned in totality the ruling of Justice Binta Nyako, who has insisted that its leader and other members of the group must be secretly tried.

IPOB said that yesterday’s verdict by the court was a clear indication that Nigeria government and Justice Binta Nyako were biased.

DAILY POST reports that Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court, yesterday insisted on witnesses against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu testifying in private.

Reacting to the verdict in a statement fowarded to DAILY POST, IPOB spokesmen, Emma Powerful said some people were gradually beginning to Islamize the country.

According to the statement, “Nigerians should stant to stop the islamisation of Nigeria; how can Justice Binta Nyako who earlier ruled against the secret trial turn around and proclaim to allow the masquerades to testify against our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and others?”

The group warned that they would not allow the sharia law to prevail upon the Christians in Nigeria, calling on all Nigerians to stand up now before it was too late.

The statement added, “We advise them to stop embarrassing themselves in the face of international community and other good governments in the world.

“The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu with three others detained illegally alongside him were in court today presided over by Justice Binta Nyako between him and federal government of Nigeria.

“The untribalistic leader of IPOB condemned the continued detention of Nigeria citizens, both the Muslims and the Christians in DSS security secret cells, Abuja

“He made mention of many Nigerians detained in DSS secret cell f‎or over five years without trial.

“Nnamdi Kanu spoke on behalf ‎of five Hausa men and many others such as Believe Ideri, Bright Chimezie, among others.”
