Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has just tweeted that he spoke with the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who has been reportedly held hostage by men of the Nigerian Army.
Fani-Kayode also warned President Muhammadu Buhari, to call the officers to order, “before innocent people are killed”.
He wrote: “I just spoke to Nnamdi Kanu, his lawyer and his sister. What is going on right now is unbelievable and unacceptable.
“His entire community has been terrorized and traumatized for the 2nd day running by soldiers who are firing shots into the buildings and in the air.
“I call on @MBuhari to call his army to order before innocent people are killed. Soldiers are meant to protect our citizens and not attack them!”
DAILY POST gathered that soldiers invaded Kanu’s residence as early as 5.30am Tuesday and started shooting sporadically.
IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.
