An Abuja Federal High Court has adjourned the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, till March 1.

The matter which was slated to come up today was adjourned again at the instance of the court to the new date, DAILY POST reports.

A source closed to the incarcerated IPOB leader, who spoke with our correspondent quoted Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor as saying the court adjourned the trial for “no reason.”

Kanu is currently standing trial before the Justice Binta Nyako-led court on an 11 –count charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony and publication of defamatory materials.

The Director of Radio Biafra is facing the charges alongside three others, namely: Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi.

Despite been granted bail by several courts in 2015, the Federal Government has refused to grant him bail.

Justice Nyako recently took over the trial of Kanu following the withdrawal of the former trial judge, Justice John Tsoho of the same court  over allegation of bias leveled against him by the defence team of the pro-Biafra agitator.
