The Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has warned residents of the state to beware of some unscrupulous elements parading themselves as recruitment officers in a bid to defraud unsuspecting citizens.
NSCDC Commandant in the state, Mr. John Oyedokun Adewoye gave this advice in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Oluwole Olusegun.
Adewoye in his “Independence Message’ said that “the attention of the command has been drawn to messages being sent out by fraudsters promising employment in NSCDC for monetary gain and impersonating NSCDC staff on the pretence of recruitment”.
He advised members of the public to ignore such messages.
“Members of the public are hereby advise to ignore such messages on social media as the message was not generated from NSCDC, he added that the Commandant General Abdullahi Gana Mohammadu has mentioned earlier this week and we are reiterating that if you are in doubt or want any clarification contact Oyo state command line on 09055533301 and 09055533303 or NSCDC office nearest to you”, he said.
He added that this administration in Oyo state and Nigeria has made a tremendous impact in securing lives and properties.
