Benue: Suswam vows to disgrace Gemade, says he will be a coward to step down


Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Assembly primaries on Sunday, governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State, has told his opponent, Barnabas Gemade to expect the shocker of his life.

The governor is currently under pressure for performing below the expectation of Benue people boasted that he will not only disgrace the former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),but will go ahead to represent the Benue Northeast at the upper chamber of the National Assembly come 2015.

The governor, who was speaking with newsmen in Makurdi, after he registered for the national identity card on Wednesday, said his campaign team was ready and had put necessary things in place to ensure his victory.

When asked about the media speculations that he had decided to step down, the governor said he was not a coward to do so.

According to him, “my campaign team is here right now and we are not taking things for granted, as there is no truth in the rumour that I am stepping down.”
