A member of the House of Representatives representing Otukpo/Ohimini federal constituency of Benue state, Chief Ezekiel Adaji has urged his constituents to be security conscious during Saturday’s Senatorial rerun election for Benue South, even as he counseled them to conduct themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner.
Chief Adaji made the appeal against the backdrop of an allegation that a caretaker committee Chairman for Ohimini local government ( names withheld) imported some machineries believed to be political thugs from Benin Edo state to help the rival All progressive Congress ( APC) during polls.
He therefore warned of the security implication of infiltrating the local government with strangers during the election.
Adaji however said security operatives have been put on the alert over the development just he counseled politicians to allow the will of the people prevail in the election.
The lawmaker expressed optimism that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) remains the party for Benue South saying ” I have no iota of doubt that our people would come out en masse to vote for our leader Senator David Mark on Saturday .
Adaji added that Senator Mark is the true representatives of the people who has touched lives in very positive ways, assuring that the former Senate President would do more if given another opportunity .
He said Senator Mark is an asset to the nation and a worthy ambassador of people of Benue state, a feat he said, “we must strive to sustain”.
Adaji therefore urged his constituents to rally round Senator Mark for victory in the rerun election.
