Suspected Fulani herdsmen, on Sunday attacked, raped and inserted stones and stick into the private part of a pregnant woman in Yogbo town, Makurdi, the Benue state capital.
The incident happened when the woman was relaxing with her husband who escaped when the men started shooting.
DAILY POST gathered that the heartless herders used sticks to pierce through her private part to kill the unborn child.
They pulled out both the child and the woman’s womb leaving her at the mercy of death.
Upon her husband’s report, soldiers came to pick her corpse but discovered that she was still alive.
She was rushed to Bishop Murray Hospital for treatment.
