Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom on Tuesday said he has no plans of dumping his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, for an opposition party.
He stated this while addressing APC expanded caucus, at the Government House, in Makurdi, the state capital.
The governor described the rumour of dumping APC as an act by his “political enemies” who feels he’s a stumbling block to their personal ambitions.
According to Ortom, “I remain a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). I have no intention of joining another political party. The rumour that I plan to dump APC is the handiwork of my detractors who want me to leave the party so they can come in.”
The governor also stated that that the anti-open grazing law enacted in the state was being emulated by other states across the country.
