Benfica bid farewell to Manchester United-bound defender, Lindelof

Victor Lindelof’s move to Manchester United seems close to completion, after Benfica bid farewell to the defender.

Last weekend, United confirmed that they had agreed an initial £30.7million fee for the player with the Portuguese club.

“Manchester United is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Benfica for the transfer of Victor Lindelof, subject to a medical examination, international clearance and personal terms,” an official club statement read.

Lindelof’s move to Old Trafford is still subject to international clearance, personal terms and a medical, which is due to take place this week.

However, it has not stopped Benfica from wishing him well.

They posted a video of Lindelof’s highlights at the Stadium of Light, along with the caption: “The best of luck, Victor Lindelof!”
