The senator representing Bayelsa East in the National Assembly has queried the Inspector general of police, Ibrahim Idris over gruesome killing of kidnapped policemen in Benue.

DAILY POST had reported that the lifeless body of a policeman who was among the four men kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen was discovered with both eyes, and nose plucked out.

Reacting to the new development, Ben Bruce condemned the killing, questioning the IGP Idris’s stand that killings in Benue was a communal clash.

He tweeted “I condemn the abduction of four policemen in Benue and the killing and mutilation of one of them.

“My question to the Inspector of Police is this- After this incident, does he still stand by his position that what is happening in Benue is a ‘communal clash’?”
