Ex-England international, Gary Neville has told Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Raheem Sterling to learn from their club team-mates, Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne for ways to improve over the coming years.
England lost 2-0 to Belgium for the third place of the 2018 World Cup on Saturday.
Neville told ITV Sports, “We talked before the game about England’s midfield and where we need to improve over the next few years,’ Neville said at half-time.
“If you look at De Bruyne and Hazard it’s an absolute joy to watch them.
“The way in which they hold the ball, the way they release it, the timing of everything. They’ve got five years on Loftus-Cheek and Sterling.
“Sterling plays with De Bruyne and Loftus-Cheek plays with Hazard.
“We’ve got to make sure as a national team that those two players are watching them every day and learning from them to the point where they can get anywhere near that standard.”
