Nigerian attacker, Taiwo Awoniyi, has joined Belgian side, Excelsior Mouscron on a season long loan.

The club announced this on their website on Tuesday.

Awoniyi will defend the colours of the Belgian side as he goes on his third loan spell since joining the English Premiership side, Liverpool.

The 19-year-old was first loaned out to German side, FSV Frankfurt 2 years ago before spending last season at Dutch side, NEC Nijmegen.

He was part of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup-winning squad of 2013 alongside the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Success Isaac of Watford.

He scored four goals in that tournament as Nigeria swept away all the teams to clinch the title in the United Arab Emirates.
