A foremost Bayelsa monarch, His Royal Highness, Serena-Dokubo Spiff, has warned those plotting to unseat Governor Seriake Dickson to desist from their sinister plot.
According to Spiff, such dastardly plot to unseat Dickson would be resisted vehemently by the people and those behind the plan would incur the wrath of the people.
The warning was giving on the heels of calls by a group, Grassroots Vanguard for Dickson, that politicians in Bayelsa rooting for the governorship election in 2016 should wait until Dickson completes his second term.
Coordinator of the group, Mr. Bello Bina, expressed satisfaction at the spate of human and infrastructural development in the state under the Dickson’s administration.
“Criticism orchestrated by some persons we regard as political vultures against the Governor is ununable and does not represent the opinions of the majority of people in the state. Dickson deserves his second term going by his unprecedented performance,” he said.
Continuing, Spiff, a legal practitioner, speaking under the auspices of Brass Restoration Actualisation Vanguard Organisation at a news conference on Saturday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital said: “Obviously, there may be some persons who are disgruntled. That is not unusual – it is not unexpected. In any assemblage of human beings, you must have dissenting elements, no matter how good a person is. So, that is not a surprise.
“But I tell you, if people have schemes to unseat Dickson, they should have cogent reasons. As far as I know, they have none other than atrocious, banal reasons. That is why I am saying, if you touch this my son, Dickson, you are in trouble”
