Bayelsa guber election: Oseke speaks on ‘planning’ to succeed Dickson

The lawmaker representing Southern-Ijaw federal constituency, Hon. Preye Influence Oseke, Monday distanced himself from speculations of his interest to contest the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

He noted that he has four years to focus on positive and fruitful representations for his constituents.

Oseke, who described the insinuations by some persons in the state as falsehood, added that he had no divided attention as a faithful party man and that the party leaders and major stakeholders in the state will decide whoever will run.

The lawmaker stated this during his victory thanksgiving reception at the Honni Hills in Yenagoa, the state capital.

The APC stalwart, said the reason for the celebration was because when he started the electioneering project, he seeks the face of God to ensure he wins, and at the end he got the victory, so there was the need to return back and appreciate God.

He also commended the women groups, youths groups, elders, friends, chiefs and the APC party faithful for their continuous support, adding that as a grassroots politician, he knows the problems of the people.

According to Hon. Francis Ejiroghene, who admonished members of the party to remain steadfast and supportive, stressed that the era where some sets of politician are re-cycle every time had gone.

He also boasted that with the two house of representative members, one serving senator and 5 assembly members in the state, the party has an advantage over others.

“Every member of the party in the state should be steadfast, there’s need to change the negative, not always re-cycling same old politicians”

In his brief, Hon. Omowummi Ogunlola, representing Ijero/Efon/Ekiti West, central federal constituent, who described the celebrant as a great personality with few words and lot of actions, said that he has started well, and should do more to consolidate on most of his achievements.
