The card reader for the Bayelsa State governorship election has failed to function at the polling unit in front of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s house.
The president was to be accredited at Otazi Playground, Polling Unit 039, Ward 13, Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area.
President Jonathan and his wife, Patience, had approached the polling unit at about 8:45 a.m, but were quickly urged by the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Baritor Kpagih, to return home on account of malfunctioning card reader.
But a few minutes after, at about 8:55 a.m, two card readers were brought to replace the malfunctioning one.
