As preparations heat up ahead of the December 5 election governorship election in Bayelsa State, Senator Foster Ogola, has predicted victory for incumbent governor, Seriaki Dickson.
Ogola, who represents Bayelsa-West senatorial district in the National Assembly, said neither a former Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, Timi Alaibe, nor a former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, were capable of unseating the current governor.
Speaking with newsmen on Monday in Abuja, Ogola urged ‘Bayelsans’ and Nigerians to “ignore expired politicians” going about misinforming the public on the true state of things in Bayelsa State.
Ogola boasted that Dickson-led government had changed the face of the state with four years in power.
He said, “The Peoples Democratic Party cannot be scared of Timi Alaibe’s entry into the governorship race. Dickson is not scared of Sylva. President Muhammadu Buhari was elected because of his anti-corruption stance. Why should the APC be presenting characters that are having one case or the other? Timi Alaibe is not on the ground in Bayelsa, he has not won any election before.” .
