The village head of Tirwun in Bauchi surbub, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, has said that he has been forced to relocate his family including his subject’s families to a nearby primarily school.
This followed the devastation caused by the rainstorm in Bauchi state.
The village head spoke to DAILY POST in his residence, describing the incident as a natural disaster.
” What happened was a natural disaster that we must all thank God even though, some people lost their lives in the processes,” said Mohammed.
He added that several people were rendered homeless having suffered destruction in one way or the other.
” Honestly one third of Bauchi homes were blown off during the rainstorm. We are calling on the federal and state governments to intervene to enable the victims resettle,” added the village head.
