Bauchi Government to spend N30million monthly on Islamiyya teachers

Bauchi State Government has approved the sum of N30 million as monthly stipends to 400 Islamic teachers in private Islamic schools across the twenty Local Government Areas of the state.

This was disclosed by the Publicity Director of the Committee set up by the State Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Babaji Ibrahim. While addressing journalists in Bauchi on Tuesday, he said each Islamic teacher is to receive N7, 000 monthly.

According to him, the formal fund disbursement will commence on Thursday this week, in Gamawa, headquarters of the local government.

Adding that, the Government incentive to Islamiyya teachers is to complement their efforts of impacting knowledge on the younger generation, so they can become useful citizens.

Ibrahim further stated that, the teachers would for the first two months be expose to table payment and subsequently E-payment, hence the need for each of them to open a bank account.

The Director charged the Islammiyya teachers to reciprocate the gesture by the State Government through effective and positive Contribution to the lives of their pupils.

He further revealed that the State Government’s plan was to engage more Islamiyya teachers in the next two months.
