Captain Bala Jibrin, Bauchi APC Gubernatorial aspirant has blamed the party’s national congress committee and governor Abubakar of Bauchi state for allegedly hijacking Saturday’s congresses in the state.
He describe the Congresses as vague, undemocratic and a coup to rob the party’s supporters of their rights.
Jibrin disclosed to newsmen Wednesday in Bauchi that what occurred on Saturday was a coup and not a congress.
” It has never happened in a civilise democratic dispensation where a serving governor can deliberately hijack the process of Congresses by hiding the national committee delegated to conduct free and fair election until now,” said Jibrin
He lamented that intent forms were sold only in the late hours to intentionally frustrate other contestants.
Jibrin stressed that a meeting was held Friday at the government house inviting only the governors anointed candidates, and shutting out other contestants.
“We had to look for the Congress committee members in almost all hotels room to lay our complains but to no avail. They kept changing locations, apparently to beat other contestants,” added Jibrin
The guber aspirant cautioned the national headquarters of the APC to step up action and address the failed congresses or risk supports ahead of elections.
He, however, reiterated their support for President Buhari.
