Batshuayi takes swipe at Conte following Dortmund form

Dortmund striker, Michy Batshuayi, has taken a swipe at Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte over his lack of game time while at the Blues.

After scoring twice in the Germans’ 3-2 Europa League win over Atalanta on Thursday night, Batshuayi, admitted that he is now playing with confidence with his new club.

“I don’t know if Conte was watching my game,” Batshuayi told reporters.

“Sitting on the bench, score a goal and then back to the bench is quite difficult to deal with for an attacker.

“It wasn’t always easy at Chelsea. I’m now playing with a lot of confidence.

“They are focusing on the Premier League and have an important Champions League tie next week. “I hope it turns out well for them,” Batshuayi said.

The 24-year-old, who replaced forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has netted five goals in three games since joining the Bundesliga giants.

Batshuayi struggled since joining Blues for £33m in July 2016 and made just three Premier League starts this season.
