Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has warned forward, Eden Hazard to win more trophies if he wants to be compared with players like Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta.
Conte said this ahead of Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League second leg round of 16 tie with Barcelona at Nou Camp on Wednesday night.
Conte’s men will hope to win the match against the Catalan club so as to qualify for the quarter finals of the competition after playing a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Stamford Bridge.
Conte, however, admits that Hazard has a long way to go to match Iniesta’s medal haul, adding that it was pointless comparing the pair on the pitch due to their different roles.
“Hazard has to start winning important trophies in his career,” Conte told reporters ahead of Barca clash.
“We are talking about two different players.
“Hazard is more of a No.10, Iniesta is more of a midfielder who stays in the centre of Barcelona’s play.
“We are talking about two different players.
“Hazard can play No.10 but for me he can also play as false 9.
“These are two different players with different careers, Iniesta has won a lot in his career, Hazard has to start winning important trophies in his career,” he said.
