Barcelona vs Chelsea: Messi returns to club training after birth of son [VIDEO]

Barcelona star, Lionel Messi was welcomed back to the club training ahead of their Champions League second round of 16 clash against Chelsea with a round of applause following the birth of his son, Ciro.

Recall that Messi missed Barca’s 2-0 win over Malaga on Saturday, with the club initially stating he was absent for “personal reasons”.

Messi was back in training with Barcelona on Monday, as the La Liga League leaders prepare for their Wednesday’s crucial match against the Blues in the Champions League, having played 1-1 draw in the first leg at Stamford Bridge.

The Barca number 10 team-mates gave him an applause at the start of the training session.

Meanwhile, Ciro is Messi’s third child with wife Antonella Roccuzzo, following Thiago (2012) and Mateo (2015).
