Barcelona v Real Madrid: Messi’s goal shouldn’t have counted, I fouled Varane – Lu

Writer: AdminAdmin

Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez, is surprised that referee Hernandez Hernandez allowed Lionel Messi’s goal during the 2-2 draw in their La Liga clash on Sunday.

Suarez, who scored the first goal for Barcelona, acknowledged play could have been stopped before Messi’s goal.

The Uruguayan admitted he brought Real Madrid defender, Varane down from behind unlawfully.

Suarez told reporters, “I think it is a bit of a foul because Varane controlled it and I just put my foot in.

“But hey, that’s the decision of the referee, sometimes they get it right and sometimes not. I was a little surprised that he let it go on.”

Barcelona face Villarreal, Levante and Real Sociedad to see out the season while third-placed Real Madrid also face three more La Liga fixtures.
