Barcelona v Chelsea: Costa aims a dig at Conte [PHOTO]

Atletico Madrid striker, Diego Costa has used Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Barcelona as another opportunity to aim a dig at Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte.

The former Chelsea striker endured a turbulent relationship with the Italian during their time together at the Stamford Bridge.

Conte famously ended Costa’s stint at Stamford Bridge via a text message.

The Spain international helped fire Chelsea to the Premier League title in Conte’s debut season, but the pair had a major bust-up during the campaign during which the Italian told the striker to ‘go to China’.

The Chelsea manager then told the striker in the summer, via a text message, that he was no longer part of his plans at the Stamford Bridge.

Costa was angry with Conte’s handling of the situation, and it appears the striker still holds a grudge against his former boss.

Costa posted a picture of Chelsea’s line-up graphic against Barcelona on his Instagram page on Wednesday but notably he had scrubbed out Conte’s name from the image.
