Barcelona are set to wrap up deals for both Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele in the next few days, according to reports in Spain.
The Catalans lost 3-1 to rivals Real Madrid, in the first leg of their Super Cup game at the Camp Nou. And it is believed the defeat has forced the club’s senior officials, to step up attempts to land their two top targets.
Barca are ready to reinvest most of the £200million that they received from the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain into the squad.
They could be forced to pay around £90million on each player.
While fees for Coutinho and Dembele are not yet agreed, Sport claim that Barcelona are keen to ensure the deals get over the line in the next few days.
It is also understood that the deal for Dembele appears to be closer than that of Coutinho.
