Barcelona squad to face Real Madrid in Copa del Rey semi-final revealed

Barcelona have included Lionel Messi in their 19-man squad, for Wednesday’s Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

However, Barca manager Ernesto Valverde, must leave out one player from his squad, meaning it is possible Messi could still miss out due to a thigh injury.

The Argentine star picked up the injury on Saturday in Barcelona’s 2-2 draw with Valencia.

Valverde confirmed after the game that the 31-year-old had a “small problem” and would face tests to see if he’d be ready for Wednesday.

Messi did not take part in full training on Monday, but returned to join his team-mates on Tuesday for their final session.

Ousmane Dembele misses out due to an ankle problem and joins goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, who has been ruled out for six weeks with a calf injury, on the sidelines, as well as Samuel Umtiti and Rafinha.
