Barcelona ready to hijack Arsenal’s bid for Thomas Lemar

Barcelona have entered the race to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco.

French outfit, L’Equipe, reports that the La Liga side are eyeing Lemar to replace Neymar, who has completed a €222million move to Paris Saint-Germain this week.

It is believed that Liverpool and Manchester City, have also made their interest in the 21-year-old winger known in the past few days.

Lemar, “who has yet to bat an eye” on his transfer situation, is set to change tact with news of Barcelona interest, as he realises a move to Camp Nou now could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

However, Arsenal have not given up on landing the France international.

Lemar is Arsene Wenger’s No1 target, following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, but the Ligue 1 champions are reluctant to allow the France international leave.

The Gunners have seen a third €50million offer turned down this week.
