Barcelona president, Jose Luis Bartomeu, has made it clear that they will not sell Luis Saurez to Manchester United.
Over the past week, there has been reported interest in the former Liverpool striker from United.
Jose Mourinho is believed to be ready to pay as high as €150million for Suarez, who finished as La Liga’s top scorer last season.
But Bartomeu is adamant that his star forward is not going anywhere.
“We read, we listen, we see this news, but of course, our interest in this particular case is that Luis Suarez is happy at Barcelona,” he told Sky Sports.
“We are trying to extend his contract with Barcelona and he is one of our big future efforts because he is still young, he has a vision, a lot of ambition.”
Suarez signed for Barcelona in 2014 and has scored 94 goals in 111 appearances in all competitions so far.
