Barcelona end Bellerin chase, close in on Semedo deal

Barcelona directors are in Lisbon, to close a deal for Benfica’s right-back Nelson Semedo.

ESPN FC reports that Sporting director Robert Fernandez and board member Javier Bordas, flew to Portugal on Thursday to finalize a transfer which could cost the La Liga club up to €35million with variables.

Semedo has already agreed personal terms and is expected to join Barca on their pre-season tour to the United States on Wednesday.

This means that the Camp Nou outfit has ended their quest to land Hector Bellerin from Arsenal.

Bellerin himself admitted Barca’s interest made him happy, but the Gunners refuse to do business. Attachments area
