Barcelona coach, Ernesto Valverde, has once again insisted that Neymar is going nowhere, after the Brazilian starred in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Juventus in the International Champions Cup.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with an incredible €222million move to Paris Saint-Germain all week.
After scoring twice as Barca beat Juventus 2-1, the questions to Valverde was about the player’s future.
“Barca are not going to go without Neymar,” Valverde stressed after winning his first game in charge, since replacing Luis Enrique at the end of last season.
“We want him with us. We know the importance he has not just in our play, but also in the dressing room, where he contributes to the dynamic of the group. We want him with us, that’s clear.”
Neymar himself left the stadium after the game without saying a word, stopping briefly to take photographs with a few fans in the mixed zone.
