The trio of Patrick Bamford, Nathan Redmond and Dele Alli, have been announced as the finalists for the Football League Player of the Year Award.

A winner from the three Englishmen, will be announced this Sunday, at the 10th annual Football League Awards.

21-year-old Redmond has netted three times for Norwich and provided eight assists, as they also push for promotion to the Premier League.

Alli, 19, has scored 14 goals for League One outfit MK Dons. His hot form saw Tottenham Hotspur splash out £5million on him, but the North London club loaned him back to Karl Robinson’s team.

Gareth Bale, Nathaniel Clyne and Wilfried Zaha, have all clinched the prize in the past.
