Giovanni Trapattoni has claimed that Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, is wasting away his career.
The former Italy manager says one day the 24-year-old will look back at his career with regret and also blamed Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, for not guiding him well.
Balotelli has struggled at Anfield since his summer move and has scored just twice for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
“I do not know how Balotelli’s career will pan out,” Trapattoni told La Nazione.
“But I know that when he hangs up his boots he will realise the many opportunities he has wasted.
“Part of the blame also has to go to Mino Raiola.”
Balotelli is expected to face Manchester United in a Premier League match on Sunday, after recovering from a groin problem.
