Paris Saint-Germain defender, Dani Alves has identified Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola as the only manager that will make fellow teammate, Neymar to win the Ballon d’ Or and become the world best player.
But Alves believes that Neymar will only win the Ballon d’Or supposing he had opportunity to play under Guardiola at Barcelona.
Neymar joined Barcelona from Brazilian side, Santos in 2013, but Guardiola had already left Camp Nou by then to join Bayern Munich.
“Both Neymar and Barcelona would have been even better had he been part of that team coached by Guardiola, without a doubt. Both would have been better,” Alves told Goal.
“It would have been like myself and Barca, a perfect fit. I believe that if Neymar had been coached by Guardiola, he would have done even bigger things.
“He would already have been the best in the world [Ballon d’Or] now, without a doubt, there is absolutely no doubt about it.”
The 2018 Ballon d’ Or award will take place on 3rd December, 2018.
