“Bale is better than Neymar, if Real Madrid want him we will listen” – Agent

Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has invited Real Madrid to oepn negotiations for his client, admitting that they would be interested in speaking with the Spanish giants.

Madrid are understood to be ready to bid for the Welsh winger, especially after they lost out to Barcelona in the race to sign Brazilian forward Neymar.

“If someone like Mr Perez was interested in Bale it would be a great honour. And we would listen,” Barnett told Spanish TV show ‘Futboleros’.

“We’re not speaking to anybody… Bale is better than Neymar. He’s proved himself better than Neymar. He’s proved himself in the best league in the world.

“I would hope that any club who wants him, wants him not because they lost Neymar. I would think he’d have to be their first choice.

“Listen, it’s crazy, but whatever Neymar cost, Gareth Bale is worth more.
