The remains of Apostle Bimpe Sorinolu, the younger sister of Ex-Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, has been laid to rest in the United Kingdom.

Sorinolu’s final journey to the ‘great beyond’ began on Tuesday with a service of song at the Christ Royal Church in Hackney, London.

Sorinolu was interred on Wednesday amid tears at the City Cemetery in London.

The funeral service and interment wrapped up the entire burial programme. Her elder brother, Fayose, who was present at the final burial in the far away United Kingdom, was said to have wept uncontrollably.

DailyPost gathered from a source that Sorinolu had during her illness planned her interment. It was learnt that the late Lagos high society lady ordered that she be given a befitting burial in the United Kingdom. She even put together the burial committee, and requested that black outfits should not be worn to any of the events.

Sorinolu, who would have been 47 years in November, died after a long battle with cancer at St Joseph Hospice, Mare Street, Hackney, London, on February 13.

She survived by an agedmother, children, brothers, sisters, friends and followers in faith.
