Frontline Niger Delta activist and strong supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan’s government, Ayiri Emami has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Emami, who doubles as Chairman of the Delta Waterways Security Committee, DWSC, joined the APC in Delta State on Wednesday.
A visibly elated Chief Emami, who once led PDP in Warri South-West Local Government Area, displayed his new APC card, after announcing his defection at his counteu home in Ubeji, near Warri.
He claimed that the PDP’s umbrella was leaking and could no longer provide the needed shelter for Deltans.
He called on his kinsmen to vote for the APC’s governorship candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, in Saturday’s governorship election. .
