Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, has said they are focused on winning this year’s African Women’s Cup of Nations.
Nigeria will play hosts Cameroon in the final on Saturday and the Arsenal star says they are ready to end their title drought since 2014.
The Falcons have won seven of the nine AWCON titles and will be hoping for the eighth at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde on Saturday.
“We have a goal which is to win the title,” Oshoala told Completesportsnigeria.
“We haven’t won any silverware since 2014, so there’s no getting away from the fact that we have to get it right with another AWCON triumph.
“There’s always an opportunity to redeem yourself, and what better way to do it than against Cameroun – one of the top teams in Africa.”
Oshoala is also in pole position to win the tournament’s top scorer award with six goals.
