Auto crash leaves 6 dead, 12 injured in Kogi

An auto crash at Osara village along Lokoja-Okene road in Kogi State, has left six persons killed and 12 others injured.
The accident which occurred on Monday about 9am, involved three vehicles – a truck, a Toyota Hiace bus and a Nissan Primera car.
Speaking with newsmen, an eyewitness disclosed that the truck and Toyota bus had a head on collision while the Nissan Primera car rammed into them.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Segun Martins, who confirmed the number of death said the 12 persons who were injured were evacuated to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja for treatment.
Martins also disclosed that the six corpses were deposited in the hospital’s morgue.
The Sector Commander further stated that the obstruction created on the road as a result of the accident had been cleared.
