Auto crash in Ogun State kills one person, leaves 16 others seriously injured

Expressway in Shagamu local government area of Ogun State, on Sunday as a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number Lagos JJJ 319 XP heading to Lagos from Ijebu, before one of the rear tyres suddenly ruptured, claiming one life and leaving sixteen others critically injured.

DailyPost gathered that the bus driver, identified as Biodun Badmus suddenly applied the brakes after the tyre busted and eventually lost control, leading to the death of a woman while the others were seriously injured.

The Shagamu Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Mr. Ogundele Lasisi, confirmed the incident and affirmed that the 17 passengers, who comprised seven females, five males and five children, have been rushed to the Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital, OOUTH, Shagamu where the woman gave up the ghost, adding that the other 16 victims including five children were still a in critical condition.
