One of the ministerial nominees, Chief Audu Ogbe, has just been asked to take a bow after spending about seventeen minutes of drilling by Senators, and has therefore been confirmed as Minister. He had told the lawmakers that “Since I was last in government, I have been practicing agriculture.”
He added that, “I want to make it clear to Nigerians that I am not here because I need anything, but I am here because the president of my country has deemed me fit to serve in his cabinet.”
Questions thrown at him by the senators bordered mostly on the agricultural sector but for Senator James Manager who took the nominee to task on the penchant for Nigerian politicians to decamp from their political parties at will.
