Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has set his sights on the Europa League final, after he scored twice in their 4-2 win over Vorskla on Thursday night.
It was Aubameyang’s first European appearance for the Gunners, having been cup-tied last term following his January move from Borussia Dortmund.
Without him Arsenal, reached the semi-finals of last season’s competition, falling against eventual winners Atletico Madrid.
Speaking after the game at the Emirates, Aubameyang made it clear he is looking to go one better this season.
“We want to go to the final of course.
“I didn’t play the Europa League last year with the guys so I am really happy to be back in this competition.
“It’s good to start with a win, and the next game will be important also.
“I think we played well in the first half and in the beginning of the second as well. We have to improve and try to fight not to concede a goal like we did in the last minute.”
“But I hope we can do well in the next few games. We know the Premier League is long. We have to win these games straight away and perform quickly. It is good to start with a win,” he said.
