Borussia Dortmund’s chief executive, Hans-Joachim Watze, has insisted that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will only leave the club, if he receives offers from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Aubameyang’s current deal with the Bundesliga side runs out in June 2020, but the striker is attracting interest from many top European clubs.
The Gabon striker has previously spoken of his desire to play for Madrid, to fulfill a promise to his grandfather.
“I think he will stay with us,” Watze said on Sport1’s Doppelpass programme.
“But if Real Madrid or Barcelona come along with an offer, maybe he’ll think about it.
“The rest of the clubs who are interested in him are not really an alternative for him. And certainly not Bayern because we wouldn’t allow him join them.”
Aubameyang finished last season as the second top scorer in the Bundesliga with 25 goals.
