Attah salutes Rohr’s move to return Enyeama

A former Super Eagles Coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Attah, has commented the Super Eagles Coach, Mr Gernot Rohr over his resolve to recall former Super Eagles Captain, Vincent Enyeama to the squad.

Attah, who is now the Osun State Coordinator of the NYSC made the commendation on Monday, while playing host to members of the Osun State Sports Writers Association of Nigeria(SWAN) at his office in Osogbo.

He averred that the Super Eagles, as a matter of importance must mobilise their best to the next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia, arguing that Enyeama’s inclusion will strengthen the team.

” We should always go for the best. If Enyeama is ready and fit to join the Super Eagles, so be it. I think he is one of the best we have around and I believe we still need him.

” I have always believe in merit, and obviously, we need enough experience at the World Cup.

“I want to believe that there reason why we did well at the Qualifiers was because the team was made up of young and experienced players.

” I have no doubt that this team will go far at the World Cup and I think they are well coordinated than the team we had in Brazil three years ago”, Attah said.

Attah, who was honoured with Meritorious Gold Award of Excellence in Sports Administration, however, showered encomiums on members of Osun SWAN for finding him worthy of the award, adding that it would spur him to do more in sports development and also promised to use his office as the Osun NYSC Coordinator to promote Grassroots Football.

” I am very humbled and privileged to have been presented with this award. It was painful I couldn’t make it to the proper award because of work.

” I believe this award will spur me to do more. I want to dedicate this award to a friend and colleague who lost his life recently, Chief Frank Ekponobi who was the Director, Corps Mobilization of the NYSC NDHQ, Abuja”.
