Attack on opposition parties: ‘Call Kogi APC to order’ – ADP tells Buhari

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to call the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state to order over alleged vandalization of its promotional bill boards in the state.

The ADP, however, warned that the APC in the state was becoming intolerant and violent against opposing democratic views and actions.

In a statement signed Monday in Abuja, by the ADP National Chairman, Engr. Yabagi Sani, alleged that his party members in Kogi state were being threatened with violence and arrests on phantom charges.

“If by now, we have started experiencing the unleashing of intolerance and anger against growing opposition; observers should be worried and concerned as we are still 12 months away from general elections.”

Sani urged the President to use his current intimate consultations with his party men like the recent one in Daura to drum it that his continuity agenda does not worth the blood of any Nigerian.

He also said that “the APC is becoming too desperate to retain power which it has already lost through lack luster performance and watchful absenteeism in the security of lives and property.

“If the overzealousness of certain leaders and governors of APC is not checked, they will constitute major road block to peaceful 2019 elections.”

He called on the Inspector General of Police to intervene and fish out the perpetrators of the vandalization of ADP properties in Kogi state.
