Atletico Madrid has agreed a €45million deal with Monaco for versatile Brazilian, Fabinho.
AS reports that the La Liga club is close to wrapping up a deal for the 26-year-old, who has previously played for their city rivals, Real Madrid.
Fabinho was one of the star performers in the Monaco side that won the league and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have been heavily linked with the midfielder. But he could be turning out in Spain next season once Atleti have served a transfer ban.
This development will leave United manager Jose Mourinho frustrated, as he identified the Brazilian as a top target, who can operate in both a holding midfield role and at right-back.
