The Adamawa State Police Command has given an update on the man identified as Lawan Faro who climbed a 40meter high billboard hanger in Yola calling for President Muhammadu Buhari resignation.
Lawan, who was arrested by the police on Thursday had said he would only come down if the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar assures him that he will defeat Buhari in 2019.
His action was reportedly necessitated by the “extreme poverty” in the land.
Adamawa command spokesman, Othman Abubakar speaking to newsmen in the state said Lawan was currently undergoing psychiatric evaluation.
“He has been taken to a hospital for psychiatric test to be carried out on him, in order to verify his mental status,” PPRO Othman added.
